A girl's marriage biodata follows the same four-section structure as any biodata — personal, horoscope, family and contact details — but the emphasis and the privacy decisions are different. The format at a glance

• Header: blessing line (श्री गणेशाय नमः, Bismillah, or none), full name, and a recent photo.
• Personal details: date of birth, time and place of birth, height, education, occupation, religion and caste. Complexion and blood group are optional — include them only if your family wants to.
• Horoscope details: rashi, nakshatra, gotra and manglik status — or remove this section entirely if your family does not match kundalis.
• Family details: father's and mother's names and occupations, siblings with one line each, family type and native place.
• Contact: a parent or elder as the contact person, one phone number, and the city.

The photo gets more attention than any field, so treat it seriously: one recent, well-lit, front-facing photo in clothing the family is comfortable with.
